simplifyMD Interfaces
simplifyMD is an open data company and the Digital Chart Room is a open and integration-friendly system. In general, we can provide an inbound interface from almost any healthcare application that supports HL7 ADT (patient demographics, basic insurance, etc) and SIU (scheduling) messages. At this time we support inbound (for example, from a practice management or lab system to the Digital Chart Room) but not outbound from the Digital Chart Room to other systems without a custom professional services engatement.
If the system you'd like to send data from (the inbound system) supports HL7, interfacing is usually straightforward. It requires you to have good communications and a relationship with the inbound interface vendor so that we can work with them on the specifications. However, as long as the vendor supports HL7 ADT and SIU messages we will be able to interface with them.
We have already interfaced from the following systems into the Digital Chart Room at one or more of our clients:
- Misys PM 7.0.2
- Centricity
- NueMD
- Sage Intergy 4.0
- PDS Cortex
- AthenaHealth
simplifyMD uses the Mirth Corporation open source interfacing engine for our software, the Mirth interfacing appliance (Pico) for our hardware, and the Mirth interface development professional services team for the development and maintenance work.
For more information on how we interface with HL7, CSV, and other systems please see our simplifymd External Interfaces document.
