Throughout the implementation process, there are tasks and deadlines.  However, if you have the opportunity to get some hands on practicein before training, do it.  The more you practice, the better you will be when it’s time for your GO LIVE.

Steps to take:

In China, there exists a giant computer.  138 floor to ceiling cabinets house 21,000 CPUs and 262 Terabytes of memory.  It requires a small power plant to keep it running and can perform 4.7 quadrillion computations per second.   It’s name, the Tianhe-1A, means “Milky Way” in the English vernacular and it is unquestionably the fastest computer on the planet.  Almost.

There’s another computer that is 8,000 times faster, houses only 1 CPU th

Would you say your workday is effective and efficient?  Effectiveness is defined as accomplishing the purpose or goal of the work.  Efficiency is defined as performing in a way which has the least amount of wasted time or effort.

What if, the focus (effectiveness) of your day could be meeting the needs of your patients!   What if, the work you do could be more efficient and you’d get more work done in less time!

I have used several different EHR applications in medical practices.  Some EHRs can make the daily grind of a busy medical
